¼cupgranulated sugar50 grams
2.5 - 3ripe bananasuse 2 if you prefer less banana flavor
2eggs
2tspvanilla
⅓cupsour creamor yogurt (plain or greek)
2tbspNutella
Dry Ingredients
2cupsall purpose flour240 grams
1tspbaking soda
½tspsalt
½tspcinnamon
Swirl
½cupNutella280 grams
Instructions
Line the loaf pan with parchment paper. This recipe can fill one large bread loaf pan or 2 small bread loaf pans.
Preheat oven to 350℉
Mix the melted butter and sugars together in a large bowl.
Mash the bananas in a separate small bowl then add to butter & sugar mixture.
Add eggs, vanilla, and sour cream and whisk together.
Add the 2 tbsp of Nutella, mixing after each tablespoon is added. If you prefer more of the banana taste and want to see more of a swirl on the bread, skip this step and only use Nutella at the end.
In a separate medium bowl, add dry ingredients: flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Mix together until combined.
Add half of the dry ingredients into the wet ingredient mixture and mix.
Add the rest of the dry ingredients and mix.
Warm the 1/2 cup of Nutella in the microwave slightly for about 15 seconds.
Add half of the banana bread mixture into the bread loaf pan. Then add about half of the Nutella on top and swirl it with a butterknife.
Then add the rest of the banana bread mixture on top, then the rest of the Nutella and swirl again.
Place the pan in the oven for about 50 to 55 minutes. Check the bread around 30 minutes in and place a toothpick, knife or fork in the middle to see if it still needs a lot more time left.
Once done baking, you can add powdered sugar through a sifter for presentation or just let cool and eat as is!
Notes
Sour Cream - This is used for texture purposes. It allows the bread to come out super soft. You absolutely cannot taste any sour cream flavor in the final product.
